Tampa, FL: Global agency for work, livingHR, has announced today that Cara Hunter has been chosen as Chief Operating Officer effective June 2023.
A seasoned veteran of people strategy, Cara brings over 20 years of experience in Big 4 Firms, Private Equity, and Consulting across multiple industries. In her new role as COO, Cara will be responsible for ensuring excellence in service delivery and spearheading initiatives that drive quality and high growth. With a keen focus on client satisfaction, Cara will implement strategies that enhance the overall client experience and strengthen livingHR's position as a trusted partner in elevating the people function. Cara will lead, cultivate, and mentor a highly motivated team of professionals, fostering their growth and empowering them to become successful leaders in their own right. Through strategic guidance and mentorship, Cara will drive the team's success and foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and delivers exceptional results.
“I am thrilled and deeply honored to step into the role of Chief Operating Officer at livingHR,” Cara said. “It is a remarkable opportunity that combines my expertise in operations within professional services with my genuine passion for partnering with clients and empowering them to transform their people function. I am excited to lead a dynamic team, drive operational excellence, and work closely with our clients to unlock the full potential of their organizations and create lasting impact in the ever-evolving workplace.”
Going on 10 years with livingHR, Cara most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Strategy, leading internal strategic initiatives as well as client-facing projects to reimagine their workplaces, deliver high-value work products, and create measurable impact within all accounts across the organization. Cara has led delivery across multiple disciplines throughout her career including DEIB, People Analytics, Total Rewards, HR Shared Services, and HCM Technology with a focus on Equity, Culture, and Employee Experience. Cara is frequently recognized by executive leadership teams for exceptional relationship building, strategic thinking, effective execution, collaboration, and delivering results.
Cara's promotion coincides with the appointment of another long-tenured livingHR team member, Amanda Herring, to Chief Executive Officer of Fe league as well as fractional Chief Creative Officer (CCO) at livingHR. Of these new leadership roles for both Cara and Amanda, Keri said, “livingHR started when a past employer was inflexible when I became a first-time Mom. Since then, we have operated a life-first workplace at livingHR. To see these two women, stay in the workplace while building their families, and then achieve C-level positions because of humanized workplace practices like paid parental leave, flexible work schedules, equitable benefits and pay, etc., has meant that livingHR did what it set out to do 14 years ago.”
“Cara Hunter has been in almost every position in the business readying for this role over her over nine-year tenure, and I can think of no one better to take livingHR to the next level operationally and strategically as COO. The timing is right for her to continue to grow livingHR and operationally scale,” Keri continued. “Amanda Herring, who recently served as our CXO came to livingHR as our first Director of Creative. Since then, she has shown exceptional leadership propensity and made an incredible impact with a brilliant and creative approach to human-centric designed workplaces. Her new role as the CEO of Fe League was literally built for her, and she was made for it. Seeing these two leaders rise to take these critical positions for livingHR and Fe League is my proudest professional day on record. I am so proud and incredibly humbled that they both choose to continue to build what we visioned, humanized work for everyone.”
